Manufacturing Engineer
Location:
Largo, FL (U.S. Citizen, Security Clearance – DoD Secret, active and existing required after day
1).
- Follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program / functional supervision to ensure overall program and site targets are met.
- Conduct technical and manufacturing data verifications, hardware verification, and safety/ergonomic assessments and implementations.
- Assist in developing work‑cell layouts to optimize product flow and factory floor space utilization.
- Plan for, develop, manage, and document manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
- Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Collaborate with parties within and outside the job function regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications.
- Experience with disposition of nonconforming material using root cause and corrective action analysis.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD solid modeling tools.
- Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data.
- Experience with various automation systems.
- Demonstrated hands‑on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
- Qualified Collins CORE Specialist or equivalent.
- Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
- Flexible work weeks: 9/80A, 5/40; flexible work hours (core hours, modified time).
