Senior Test Automation Systems Design Engineer; Onsite

Onsite role for U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons, requiring an existing Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance. Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year.

• Develop test hardware and software from requirements definition through build and integration, and deploy to manufacturing or customer facilities.
• Design, support, and integrate across multiple disciplines including communications, RF, analog, digital, firmware, and systems integration.
• Use computer architecture, COTS equipment, interconnects/interfaces, and standard communication protocols.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering on test adapter and fixture design activities; knowledge of Cadence, AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus.
• Lead preliminary and detailed design reviews and present work products at project status meetings.
• Meet established project budget, schedule, and performance commitments.
• Work autonomously with limited supervision as an individual contributor within a multi‑functional team.
• Support manufacturing operations, troubleshooting and debugging on site with production and design engineering teams.

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering design and development experience, preferably in test equipment development.
• Experience transitioning automated solutions to production environments and providing on‑site training.
• Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with National Instruments software suite (Test Stand, Lab Windows/CVI, LabVIEW).
• Experience with rack instrumentation, PXIe/MXI, VME application development.
• Experience with digital, RF, and/or power supply test hardware and/or software design.
• Understanding of engineering processes such as CMMI, Six Sigma.
• Advanced degree in a STEM field and/or a minimum of 3 years experience with an advanced degree is preferred.
• Mechanical engineering skill‑set desirable, with experience in Cadence and/or AutoCAD design capture tooling.
