Customer Service Rep
Description
Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. They must act as a representative of Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies.

The duties for each position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Box Office- Operate POS system and maintain accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons.
- Up‑sell/suggestive sell Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
- Operate POS system and maintain accuracy of cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed coupons; maintain concession stock inventory.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession related equipment.
- Up‑sell/suggestive sell.
- Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws.
- Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- If the theatre sells alcohol, employees must be of legal age and complete state or local training and obtain the required certificate.
- Required to read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
- Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to their auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats in auditoriums when necessary.
- Enforce the MPAA rating system.
- Conduct theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and help maintain a safe environment.
- Report any problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management.
- Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
- Clean auditoriums at the end of scheduled shows and maintain clean restrooms, lobby areas, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium.
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/ExperienceCompletion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier, or progress towards completion, is required.
Alcohol SalesIf the theatre sells alcohol, employees must complete any legally required state or local training, obtain the required certificate, and complete the Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Language AbilityGood public speaking, effective listening, and clear, direct response skills.
Math AbilityPerform calculations with speed and accuracy, identify and correct errors.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, take action beyond what is necessarily called for, and perform under pressure or opposition.

Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met. Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally be required to lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
