Position: Cosmetology Educator (Largo Campus)
American Institute of Beauty (AIB) is a postsecondary beauty and wellness vocational school with two locations in Pinellas County and one in Manatee County, FL. Students attend AIB to pursue a career in cosmetology, barbering, nail technology, massage therapy and facial therapy.

AIB is expanding its Cosmetology program and needs to add a cosmetology educator to its staff. This person will be responsible for educating and supervising enrolled students as to both the theory behind and practical applications of all aspects of cosmetology, including Educators must have knowledge in the following areas: hair cutting, coloring, chemical services and extensions, basic facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures, makeup application, sanitation/disinfection, professionalism, resume creation and marketing/social media.

That educator is provided with all the tools necessary to teach the curriculum required for students to graduate and become licensed as a cosmetologist by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation ("DBPR").

The successful applicant must be licensed as a Cosmetologist by the Florida DBPR and have a minimum of two years full time experience (or the part time equivalent) in that profession.

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about the cosmetology profession and motivated to teach others about that profession. Both full-time and part-time, day and evening opportunities are available. Cosmetology classes are taught either Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, based on location.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a starting range of $18 to $20 per hour. Benefits which may be elected are: 401K participation, health, dental and vision insurance, and Paid Time Off.
