Responsibilities- Assist with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
- Assist and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed medications, placing orders, verifying receipt, and removing expired drugs.
- Maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques and create claims for order errors and damaged goods.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, verify accuracy, fill prescriptions, count and pour drugs, and check for interactions.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the Pharmacist and adhere to company policies on errors and quality improvement.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA, Medicare, and co‑pay requirements.
- Engage patients by offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Register all sales on the assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required.
- Direct and assist team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on duty.
- Process claims for third‑party reimbursement efficiently and correctly to obtain payment.
- Earn and maintain required certification and licensure per state regulations.
- Attend training and complete continuing education credits as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned and modified at the manager’s discretion.
- Knowledge of Chen Med products, services, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and well‑developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Good math and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Spoken and written fluency in English.
- Will willingness to travel nationwide for training and support as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
High School or equivalent; experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis above the minimum required. Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting, including pharmacy/medical data entry experience.
Pay Range$17.00 – $24.26 hourly. The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base full‑time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. The position may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
