Position Summary

We are seeking caring, compassionate, mission‑driven counselors to work specifically with children and their families who have been deemed safe but at high risk of future child abuse and neglect. Together We Rise (TWR) will work with all members of the family with a team‑based approach in a supportive, empowering and respectful manner to assist the family with creating safe and stable parenting practices that facilitate long‑term behavior change and ensure that children are safe in their home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exclusively in‑home therapeutic services aimed at strengthening the protective capacities of primary and secondary caregivers in the home, focusing on the identification and resolution of interpersonal conflicts such as domestic violence and trauma related to Adverse Childhood Experiences.
  • Act as an active participant in the Integrated Decision Team (IDT) process.
  • Conduct face‑to‑face visits with the family according to the frequency required to mitigate the risk of future abuse or neglect.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a supportive, empowering and respectful relationship with families and facilitate change.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with at‑risk populations, including families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed children.
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to build respectful relationships with families.
