Responsibilities- Perform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians.
- Perform non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and write test results.
- Schedule patients for procedures.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Position patients and select the appropriate transducer.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving the scanner over the body area and adjusting equipment to focus.
- Ensure examinations are performed properly and in a timely manner.
- Takes patient history and retrieves previous files.
- Coordinate patient flow and check daily lists to ensure all exams are complete.
- Maintain equipment and order/stock supplies.
- Maintain department records, reports and files.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Read, understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements.

:
Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound tech / sonographer. - Certification / License
:
Must hold one or more of the following credentials:
Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in accordance with state regulation and clinical specialty. Must have certification through ARDMS or ARRT.
