The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x‑ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies and regulations under direct supervision of the treating clinician, and also supports other needed areas of the facility. This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of one‑on‑one patient care in a fast‑paced environment.

Radiologic Technologist Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort them to the x‑ray rooms, provide verbal and written instructions, and aid positioning of body parts for imaging.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjust controls, and take x‑rays following established requirements and regulations.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
• Maintain equipment in working order and report malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
• Ensure all radiology workflows are followed and reports are correctly entered into the EMR.
• Complete required documentation related to each patient x‑ray visit.
• Maintain all x‑ray equipment, including calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record keeping in accordance with policy.

Medical Assistant Duties

• Perform DOT and non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, taking vital signs and performing ancillary testing (vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram, respirator fit testing).
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered and triage emergent patients.
• Prepare and assist clinicians with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings, and splints.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered in accordance with state regulations.
• Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms, and stock exam rooms.
• Operate all medical devices, including calibration and record keeping.
• Notify supervisor if equipment is faulty, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating properly.
• Assist with patient flow and volume in partnership with leadership.
• Inform patients of expected wait times throughout their visit.
• Handle clerical tasks in front and back office associated with patient care and record keeping.
• Ensure accuracy in documentation.
• Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check in/out, answer calls, and distribute employer results and paperwork.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Attend staff meetings or huddles as required.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
• Complete any applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and certified by the state.
• Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold an active and valid certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.

• At least six months of medical assistant experience, including knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements preferred; prior medical office, healthcare, or customer‑service experience.
