Job Summary:

Provide skilled CST/OR assistance in a surgical setting, supporting cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment. Ensure patient safety and uphold sterile techniques throughout perioperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures by anticipating their needs and managing instrumentation.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols throughout all surgical activities.
• Monitor and document patient status, ensuring accurate communication among team members.
• Support post-operative procedures, including instrument counts and cleaning protocols.

Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or valid OR technician credential required.
• Minimum of 1 year of OR or surgical assisting experience, preferably in cardiovascular surgery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in maintaining sterile fields and surgical instrument management.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
