Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Onsite

Horizon Flex Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Largo, Florida. We primarily serve clients with private medical insurance, ensuring our patients receive high-quality treatment tailored to their specific needs. This is an onsite position, allowing for hands-on interaction with our patients in a supportive rehabilitation facility. Our environment fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals, encouraging knowledge sharing and teamwork. You will work with modern facilities and equipment, ensuring you have the tools necessary to provide the highest level of care. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' goals and needs, developing tailored treatment plans to address specific concerns.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring each patient receives focused and personalized attention during their sessions.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient therapy to deliver effective interventions, reducing the need for medications and offering non-surgical alternatives.
• Incorporate a variety of treatment techniques in your care plans, promoting optimal recovery and function for each patient.
• Design and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual patient goals, supporting their recovery and overall health.
• Document patient care services accurately and timely, maintaining comprehensive records that reflect patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create cohesive care strategies that address all aspects of patient health.
• Motivate and educate patients during their sessions, helping them to adhere to their treatment plans and engage actively in their rehabilitation process.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

At Horizon Flex Therapy, our primary focus is on orthopedic rehabilitation. We work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting their mobility and function. This role requires a deep understanding of orthopedic issues and the ability to foster a therapeutic relationship with patients, supporting them mentally and emotionally throughout their recovery journey.

• Valid and active Florida Physical Therapist License.
• Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• No board or disciplinary actions against the license.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, or the ability to obtain one before employment.

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy is essential for this role.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise implementation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
