Senior Information Assurance Engineer – Largo, FL
Collins Aerospace (RTX) is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Engineer to work onsite in Largo, Florida. The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable TS/SCI security clearance before the start date. Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for the clearance and must possess a U.S. government‑issued security clearance at the time of hire.
Responsibilities- Operate within a custom, air‑gapped Department of Defense (DoD) IT network on a daily basis.
- Provide advanced support and direct deployment of new capabilities at a sustained rate.
- Create and present materials to convey concepts and ideas to a wide range of audiences.
- Work primarily onsite in a closed area environment with occasional off‑site opportunities.
- Document and update system documentation, network drawings, RMF artifacts, and other Body of Evidence artifacts.
- Interface with other teams to define, determine, and implement cyber risk posture, cyber risk mitigation, and information assurance across the enterprise IT service portfolio.
- Travel up to 10% of the time as required.
- ICD 503 (Risk Management Framework) experience, including ICD 503–related artifacts, SCTM, SAR, RAR, Continuous Monitoring Plan, and related documentation.
- Development of System Security Plans (SSPs) and all supporting certification and accreditation documentation.
- STEM degree with a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Current DoD 8140 (IAT II) compliant certification (e.g., Security+).
- Active, transferable TS/SCI U.S. government‑issued security clearance before the start date.
- Ability to develop solutions to complex information system compliance and security problems.
- Experience working directly with ISSMs and/or SCAs to review, update, and explain accreditation documentation.
- Understanding of STIGs, ACAS, Vulnerator, and other hardening and vulnerability management tools.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- CISSP certification.
