Cyber Network Engineering II; Onsite

Location:

Largo, FL. Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100.

• Configure, manage, and maintain the physical and virtual network.
• Provide technical support to Network and System Administrators and strive to automate system administration.
• Implement and maintain router, switching, and DISA STIGs for network devices.
• Gather data to specify system and component performance and interface requirements.
• Configure, manage, and maintain Type 1 encryption devices.
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot complex network issues, serving as a key member of the network administration team.
• Evaluate, integrate, and support commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies and trusted products in network environments.
• Design secure high‑assurance, high‑availability networks, preferably using Junos routing and appliances.
• Configure virtual networks and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Document hardware and software errors, prioritize problems, and assess impact.
• Create documentation of all work performed.
• Configure, manage, and maintain a VoIP solution utilizing Cisco Call Manager.
• Support security staff in compliance and vulnerability audits, implement remediation, and assist during accreditation events.
• Identify network design changes required to support evolving processes or requirements.
• Support up to 10% travel per year.

• Strong understanding of computer, network, and security systems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Independent work style under limited oversight, self‑directed with ability to prioritize tasks.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level
  
  II certification (Security+ or CISSP preferred).
• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum two years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.

• Experience with Juniper SRX, EX series routers and switches.
• Experience deploying security solutions for DoD networks.
• Experience with multi‑platforms:
  Windows, UNIX, Linux.
• Understanding of network fundamentals: OSI layers, IP addressing, sub‑netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.
