The City of Largo is looking for our next Police Chief. In this role, you will set and execute a clear strategic vision that aligns with community needs and organizational priorities while leading and optimizing police operations to ensure modern, effective, and responsive service delivery. You will build and inspire a high-performing team rooted in trust, accountability, wellness, and continuous improvement.
Additionally, you will advance innovation by leveraging technology, data, and modern service delivery models to strengthen operational efficiency and reinforce community trust. It's an exciting time to join our growing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement related area
- Ten (10) years of proven experience in law enforcement; five (5) as major or above
- Valid or Ability to Qualify for Police Officer Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Attendance at senior management program (e.g FBI National Academy, SIMP, SPI)
- Track record of continued professional development and strategic leadership
