This is a full-time on-site role located in Largo, FL, for an EHS Engineer / Safety Coordinator. The individual in this position will oversee environmental health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing workplace safety. Responsibilities include assessing and mitigating safety risks, implementing and coordinating EHS policies, conducting workplace inspections, and ensuring employee training in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.
The role requires collaboration across departments to create a safe and compliant working environment.
- Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety principles
- Experience in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering
- Capability to develop and deliver effective training on health, safety, and compliance
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze and mitigate risks
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA or other EHS credentials are a plus
- Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
