Job Overview
The Quality Inspector I is responsible for inspecting basic components and simple assemblies against established specifications and workmanship standards, with occasional supervision and guidance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect in-house assemblies and supplier hardware for conformance to specification tolerance, utilizing basic gauges and equipment as needed.
- Work in accordance with quality control standards and instructions and prepare documentation, i.e., appropriate stamps and related tags as required.
- Process work through completion within ERP system.
- Assist the RMA Team with inspection of RMAs.
- Maintain accuracy of all inspection records.
- May periodically be required to support ISO documentation maintenance.
- Comply with all work rules, including but not limited to, the Company's safety and attendance policies.
- Work overtime as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in manufacturing within an ISO 9001 or other quality management system environment.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and inspect following simple mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of GD&T is a plus.
- Demonstrated aptitude for use of basic metrology equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
- Possess computer skills in a PC environment using word processing and spreadsheets, exposure to SAP is a plus.
- Some knowledge of ISO standards.
- Basic handheld metrology equipment such as calipers, pin gauges, hole gauges, micrometers; including basic use of a multimeter for inspection of electronic components.
- Use of appropriate tools to assist inspections including an electric screwdriver, microscope, PC or equivalent, and photocopier.
