Description

About Us:

Based in Largo, FL, International Cybernetics Company (ICC) has designed and manufactured devices to collect road surface data since its founding in 1975. In May of 2022, ICC acquired Infrastructure Management Services (IMS), which is now fully integrated as the services division of ICC. Together, ICC and IMS boast almost five decades of experience in pavement engineering and analysis, software development, automated data collection equipment manufacturing, and ROW mapping.

About the Role:

Are you a hands‑on technical problem‑solver who thrives when given ownership of meaningful work? International Cybernetics is looking for a Production Technician I to join our growing Production team. In this role, you’ll assemble, configure, calibrate, and deploy ICC technology products — both in our facility and in the field at client sites. You’ll work within a focused product line, building deep expertise and growing your technical career in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.

What

you'll do:
  • Assemble cables, electronic assemblies, and hardware to a high standard of quality.
  • Configure, install, calibrate, validate, and troubleshoot one ICC hardware product line.
  • Support system deployments, upgrades, and repairs both in‑house and in the field.
  • Travel to client sites (up to 25%) to assist with installations, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Deliver basic client training on‑site and remotely for your assigned product line.
  • Read and apply electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Identify documentation gaps and elevate through appropriate channels.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools for documentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Manage your assigned tasks independently and drive work forward without constant supervision.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing and production floor settings with moving mechanical equipment and hand tools.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Exposure to compressed air systems, fabrication equipment, and calibration assets.
  • Occasional travel to client locations (up to 25% of working time).
Requirements Education & Experience
  • Technical certificate, trade school training, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.
  • Entry‑level to early‑career background in electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, field service, or a related technical role.
Skills & Attributes
  • Fundamental technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong initiative — you identify what needs to be done and act on it.
  • Attention to detail and genuine commitment to quality work.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the judgment to elevate when needed.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliability, organization, and consistent follow‑through.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently; heavier loads with assistance or mechanical aid.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, or climb frequently during installation, service, or calibration work.
  • Work in confined or elevated spaces, under vehicles, or on ladders during field operations.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity for handling small components, tools, and cables.
  • Meet visual acuity and color differentiation requirements for wiring, diagnostics, and inspection.
  • Tolerate moderate noise, outdoor environments, and variable weather conditions.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in production and field settings.
  • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and be authorized to operate company or customer vehicles.
