Senior Systems Engineer – Airborne Mobile (Onsite)
Location: Largo, FL, United States
Security Clearance: U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance required Day 1; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat
Employment Type: Onsite – must be available in Largo, FL
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the full‑life‑cycle development of systems from CONOPS to validation.
- Define lab activities, including setup, configuration management, and testing.
- Define modeling, hardware, and software interfaces.
- Coach and review the work of lower‑level professionals.
- Prepare and execute design reviews, integration dry‑runs, and formal qualification testing.
- Work independently to solve difficult and complex problems.
- Analyze system behavior, support trade studies, and perform requirements analysis and allocation to subsystems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; alternatively 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance prior to start date.
- Experience with Dev Ops pipelines in Linux and Windows environments.
- Practical experience with Ansible/YAML and scripting.
- Experience in networked environments.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and flexibility for short‑notice travel.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Survivable Mobile Command Center architectures and operations.
- Experience working on fielded systems.
- Experience supporting software and hardware development.
- Experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3).
- Experience with computer networking for ground‑based, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI caveat.
