The Material Handler Level I is responsible for performing proper and accurate receiving, stocking, kitting, and handling, moving, prepping, packing and shipping of material utilized in the manufacturing of assemblies. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Cycle counting and inventory, as required.
- Pulling kits in a timely manner to meet production schedule while ensuring accurate data collection for labor calculations and traceability.
- Pulling orders in a timely manner to meet shipping requirements while ensuring accuracy to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Understanding and using an RF gun to pick kits and shipping orders.
- Kit auditing to ensure proper material and required quantity is issued.
- Prepping components per documentation as required by assembly instructions / prep code.
- Print labels and install instructions by kit requirements, as needed.
- Accurate and timely movement of material between work centers while adhering to all ESD and safety requirements (e.g. moving sub-assemblies between SMT board wash and 2nd operation, moving product from prep to manufacturing, moving product from pack-out to finished goods).
- Fill shortages in a timely manner ensuring proper documentation for traceability.
- Responsive to production material needs.
- Adhere to all applicable ESD requirements.
- Maintain all documentation properly and completely.
- Proper packing of product to ensure safe transit to customer.

QualificationsQualifications
- One (1) to three (3) years in the Electronics assembly industry with knowledge of general ESD practices and component/assembly descriptions and their proper handling.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Attention to detail with minimal supervision.
- Knowledgeable in the location and content of all departmental procedures and work instructions.
- Must be good with counting components and Manufacturing related materials.
- Committed to Quality, Safety and Communication.
- Must be able to differentiate colors.
- Demonstrate good hand to eye coordination.
- Maintain a safe and clean work space.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations.
- Polite and professional communication with other departments, outside suppliers, customers and transit companies (e.g. customer pick-ups, delivery drivers, etc.).
- Ability to perform all functions of the job classification without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Physical Abilities
- Sit up to 6 hours per day.
- Stand up 8 hours per day.
- Walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Use of a microscope or halo to perform inspections as needed.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Understand & practice proper lifting techniques.
- Understand & use of equipment available to assist with heavy lifting.
- Squat, bend, climb, kneel, reach and/or twist.
