Job Summary
Skilled CAD/CAM Designer. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in CAM programing and Alpha CAM is a this role, your responsibilities will include completing CAD drawings and programs for CNC. Ordering CNC bits. Working with CNC operators to maintain bits, perform daily machine maintenance, ensure CNC systems produce according to CAD programs.
-Train CNC operators-Troubleshoot errors from CNC machines.
-Make drawings/prints for use on the shop floor.
-Create basic work instructions for CNC operators.
-Generate programs for twin-spindle twin-table CNC routers.
-Manage tooling and inventory.
-Basic to mid-level understanding of G and M codes-Basic understanding of work coordinates and work offsets-Develop, test, and improve workflows on both the office side, and on the shop floor
Goals:
-Looking to expand the capabilities of the shop by taking on new projects and developing new processes(pre-hang, assembled doors)-Basic knowledge of coding in any language, but VBA a big plus-Use of/experience with right angle or fourth axis tooling-Working with team on cosmetic designs and feasibility for manufacturing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits:
