Program Officer

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) seeks a Program Officer to lead community-based initiatives within our Community & Social Services department. This role oversees planning, coordination, and evaluation of programs supporting child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, and education across Florida. The Program Officer manages day-to-day operations, monitors outcomes, and ensures compliance with funder and regulatory requirements. You'll collaborate with a compassionate, diverse team and community partners to strengthen service delivery and drive measurable impact for vulnerable individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor community-based programs aligned with LSF's mission and funding requirements.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and service delivery.
• Track program outcomes, prepare reports, and use data to improve program effectiveness.
• Support grant compliance, budgets, and documentation for audits and funders.
• Build partnerships with community organizations, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Facilitate outreach activities and events to increase community engagement and program awareness.
• Ensure services meet quality, safety, and cultural competency standards.
• Supervise or coordinate staff, volunteers, and partners as assigned.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align services across child welfare, mental health, and education programs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and represent LSF at community meetings and forums.
