Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring OASIS training, infusion experience, and a valid FL or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients,

• Patient care includes cardiopulmonary assessment, basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, Foley catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draw venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line or Midline care and dressing change,

• High-acuity diagnoses include heart failure (HF), COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke, as well as general medical and post-op cases,

• Caseload of 6-8 home visits per day,

• Shifts are self-scheduled based on office needs, with possible schedules including Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Thurs-Mon, or Fri-Tues,

• Alternating weekend shifts required,

• Documentation systems used:
Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet,

Job Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,

• Skilled home health experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted,

• OASIS training and experience required,

• Infusion experience required,

• IV skills and wound care experience required,

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required to conduct home visits,

• COVID vaccination or approved exemption required,

• Flu shot or signed declination required; mask must be worn at all times while working regardless of flu shot status,

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the Home Care office,

• Field equipment provided includes a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and a portable printer,

• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
