Tampa Bay Regional Surgery Center is fully equipped with state‑of‑the‑art technology to perform a number of ophthalmic procedures. The center is designed with the objective of providing each patient with the ultimate same‑day surgical experience and unrivaled quality of care.

The Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and the use of sterile techniques when appropriate. Total comprehensive patient care is delivered to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation;

this includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• Two years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
