We are seekingan experienced
Surgery Veterinary Technician
to join ourspecialty surgery team.
This position isideal for atechnician who enjoysanesthesia, complex surgical procedures, and delivering exceptional perioperativenursing care. You'llwork alongside skilledsurgeons and ahighly trained support team while utilizing advanced technical skillsin a fast-paced specialty environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients forsurgery, including pre-anesthetic assessments and surgical site preparation
- Induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia foravariety of specialtyprocedures
- Manage advanced anesthesiaprotocols, including CRIsand mechanical ventilationwhen indicated
- Assist surgeonswhile maintaining strictsterile technique
- Monitor patient vital signs throughout surgery and recovery
- Provide attentive post-operative nursing care
- Prepare and maintainsurgical suites, instruments, and sterile packs
- Perform diagnostic testing, including radiographsand laboratory work
- Maintain accurate anesthesiaand medical records
- Educate clients duringsurgical admissions and discharges
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, andthespecialty team toprovide outstanding patient care
- Experienced Veterinary Technician(credentialed preferred butnot required)
- Strong anesthesia monitoringskills
- Surgicalnursing experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialtyhospital
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for patient advocacy and exceptional veterinary medicine
- Strong attention todetail and commitment to patient safety
- Work alongside experiencedboard-certified surgeons
- Exposure to advancedorthopedic, neurologic,soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures
- Utilizeadvanced anesthesia equipment and monitoring techniques
