Job Description 1. Quality Control Oversight- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for marine manufacturing processes.
- Inspect and assess the quality of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Lead a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Schedule and coordinate inspection activities to meet production timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality issues.
- Generate reports and communicate quality control findings to management and relevant departments.
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to the marine industry, such as ISO, ABS, or other classification societies.
- Evaluate and monitor the quality of materials and components provided by suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure that quality control practices align with safety and environmental standards, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management) is often preferred.
- Proven experience in quality control, ideally within the marine or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and certification requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
