Quality Control Lead

Intrepid Powerboats manufactures high quality semi-custom boats. We are a 30+ year stable company with extensive demand for boats within our iconic brand. • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards for marine manufacturing processes.
• Inspect and assess the quality of materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet industry and regulatory standards.

• Lead a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Schedule and coordinate inspection activities to meet production timelines.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality issues.
• Generate reports and communicate quality control findings to management and relevant departments.

• Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement changes.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications relevant to the marine industry, such as ISO, ABS, or other classification societies.

• Evaluate and monitor the quality of materials and components provided by suppliers and vendors.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.

• Ensure that quality control practices align with safety and environmental standards, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management) is often preferred.
• Proven experience in quality control, ideally within the marine or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and certification requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
