Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
What You Will DoInspect parts, subassemblies, units, modules, completed units, and/or sets to determine conformance to blueprints, drawings, specifications, inspection instructions, operation sheets, directives, checklists, workmanship quality standards, standard practice instructions, purchase orders, quality assurance bulletins, and other written or verbal instructions.
Responsibilities include:
- Determine acceptability, locate and record discrepancies on various types of subassemblies – standard, microelectronic, and hi‑rel.
- Use routine inspection tools, direct reading instruments, gauges, meters, measuring devices such as continuity meters, specialized mechanical or optical measuring/testing devices, and stereo microscopes.
- Inspect shippable items for identification, condition, and compliance to blueprints, specifications, operation sheets, general orders, and other written or verbal instructions.
- Collect data, prepare and maintain inspection records, using written or electronic media.
- Move material as directed and work with minimal supervision.
- Train others in workmanship and product quality standards through on‑the‑job training.
- Handle hazardous waste chemicals in compliance with environmental protection laws.
- Lifting up to 28 pounds.
- Pass vision, color perception, depth perception exams as part of inspection certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret).
- One of the following:
- 1 year experience as a Quality Inspector in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Active Quality Inspector Certification (CQI) by ASQ plus 1 year related experience.
- 1 year military experience in electronics quality inspection.
- Electronics certificate by an accredited institution.
- Lifting up to 28 pounds.
- Pass visual acuity, color perception, and depth perception exams.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
