As a Security Officer Hospital Response in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM;
Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM;
Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM;
Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe people and property within the location, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and documenting security-related incidents and/or daily activities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes exposure to the morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
