As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Multiple Shifts in Largo, FL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour
Job Schedule- Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Wed 06:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and activity within assigned areas, assist with visitor direction and general inquiries, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Have the ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Have the ability to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have the ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
