Position Overview

As a Service Professional Electrician, you will work directly with customers across the Largo‑Tampa service area delivering high‑quality, code‑compliant electrical solutions for commercial, residential, and dock projects. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues, educate customers, mentor apprentices, and grow your career with our company.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective, code‑compliant solutions, with detailed explanations of options and recommendations to customers.
  • Identify and resolve safety hazards and code violations across commercial, residential, and dock electrical systems.
  • Repair or replace electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, circuit breakers, and equipment to ensure safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Perform dock electrical work—installations, repairs, and upgrades—in accordance with the NEC and applicable Florida marine electrical standards.
  • Install conduit systems, feeder wire, and electrical panels in commercial and residential settings.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for projects.
  • Measure, cut, and bend conduit to fit installations.
  • Perform safety checks on electrical equipment to ensure compliance with the NEC and all applicable safety regulations.
  • Offer flat‑rate pricing options and transparent, professional communication on every job.
  • Acquire all materials necessary to complete approved service calls and projects efficiently.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism, positive communication, and expert service.
  • Identify and present additional service opportunities to support customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate job records, including work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Train, mentor, and provide hands‑on guidance to assigned apprentices to promote skill development and safe work practices.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with customers, office, and team members to ensure job completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area during and after every service call.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, including safe operation of a company vehicle.
Required Qualifications
  • Florida Journeyperson Electrician License or a Journeyperson license with reciprocity in Florida, with a minimum of three years of field experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable Florida and local codes.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Strong proficiency in English—both written and verbal—to ensure effective communication with customers, team members, and the office.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and safely operate power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, squat, bend, and climb ladders as required by the job.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the Largo‑Tampa service area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dock or marine electrical experience.
  • Generac or Generator experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR / First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Service Fusion or similar field service management software.
  • Prior mentoring or apprentice training experience.
Compensation
  • Wage range: $24.00 – $48.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Weekly cell phone reimbursement.

Time Off & Holidays
  • 9 paid holidays per year.
  • Year 1: 56 hours of earned PTO.
  • After the first full year: 80 hours of PTO.
  • Year 5: 120 hours of PTO.
  • Year 10 and beyond: 160 hours of PTO.
