About the Role
As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. It is an onsite role in a manufacturing environment developing aircraft engines, avionics, and flight systems.
What You’ll Do- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have a broad knowledge of your own job discipline and some knowledge of several other disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. May influence to reach an agreement.
- Impact the quality of your own work and that of the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3–4 years of job‑related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid driver’s license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions).
