What You Will Do
  • Apply expert technical knowledge to solve highly complex challenges and deliver innovative software solutions that support customer and business objectives.
  • Lead software engineering activities throughout the software lifecycle, including development, integration, testing, deployment, modernization, and sustainment efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance software solutions, technical approaches, processes, and standards across a variety of technologies, products, and mission areas.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges and deliver mission‑critical capabilities.
  • Drive technical solutions supporting secure communications, mission systems, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, embedded software, and software modernization.
  • Influence technical direction, engineering strategies, and program outcomes through the application of deep domain expertise.
  • Communicate technical concepts, recommendations, and program status to audiences ranging from engineering teams to customers and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical authority within the discipline.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Experience developing software applications, systems, or solutions using programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or similar languages.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Active and transferable Secret or Top Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
  • Experience working within the software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Experience with embedded software, real‑time operating systems (RTOS), Linux, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, or related development environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure software development practices, or software assurance methodologies.
  • Experience supporting technical domains such as mission systems, communications systems, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, or related domains.

Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
