• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
• Reporting defects, accidents, and violations
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks

• A valid driver's license
• A clean driving record with no history of accidents
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency
• Successful completion of a DOT physical exam by a nationally certified medical examiner to demonstrate physical fitness for driving
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2-3 years of driving a truck 26 ft or larger
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  Ability to drive/stand/walk for extended periods; experience in loading and unloading while using a pallet jack; ability to reliably move heavy materials; strong time management skills; commitment to safe driving practices; high attention to detail; and the ability to work effectively within a team.
