Substitute Teacher Pool Tam District

Position: Substitute Teacher Pool -- Tam District (2025 - 2026 School Year)
Welcome to the Tamalpais Union High School District! Thank you for your interest in joining the Tam District family. Serving over 5,000 students in three comprehensive high schools, two alternative programs and an adult education school. The staff of the District is caring, dedicated, equity focused and student centered. The Tam District is committed to continuing to develop a racially conscious educational system and is seeking candidates who are knowledgeable of, and passionate about, racial equity work. Students have access to a broad course of study and unique programing.

REGISTRATION AS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WITH THE MARIN COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION (MCOE) IS REQUIRED BEFORE APPLYING WITH TUHSD. The District will not accept substitutes not actively registered with MCOE. This process involves:
• Live Scan Fingerprinting;
• TB Test;
• Mandated Reporter Trainings;
• A Valid Teaching Credential or Sub Permit Once active status with MCOE is verified and an application has been submitted with TUHSD, the applicant's work history will verified per AB 2534. When all requirements are completed, you will be notified and added to the District's Master Sub List and Frontline system. Upon securing your first substitute position within TUHSD, a sub packet with standard tax documents will be provided to process compensation.

• Previous experience with teaching or classroom support
• Familiarity with Canvas and/or Synergy Learning Management Systems
