Description
The Server position at Hog Island Oyster Co. (HIOC) is an integral member of the restaurant team that creates authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, checking on guest satisfaction, answering questions about the menu and food, taking payment, communicating orders with the kitchen staff, and helping with customer service and cleaning.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Assisting the guests' needs
- Filling in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Complete knowledge of the menu and able to make suggestions based on guest preferences
- Ensure the timely and accurate serving of orders, offering promotional menus and other additional services.
- Set up and breakdown of tables
- Keeping all tables and eating spaces clean and tidy
- Ensure that all equipment is being kept clean and in excellent working condition
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant, rules and procedures
- Communicate in a timely manner, while being open and respectful
- Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
- Other duties as assigned

- Restaurant Experience a Must – 1 year serving experience a plus
