Inventory Control Clerk position is responsible for all aspects of the NMSU inventory lifecycle from receiving to the disposition of the inventory. This includes tagging items received per NMSU requirements and ensuring property is delivered. The position works with NMSU departments to facilitate the disposition process of inventory which entails either transferring property for reuse by other departments using the RePete systems or disposing/selling per NMSU policy.
The clerk assists in processing inventory forms during annual inventory, receiving surplus property transferred by departments, facilitating the sale of surplus, and providing general assistance to NMSU departments during the inventory process. The clerk also maintains vehicle titles and registrations, tracks new registrations, distributes license plates and titles, requests duplicate titles or replacement plates, and ensures all necessary paperwork is in order to facilitate vehicle disposal.
- High school diploma or higher degree.

Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noise. - Physical Effort:
Moderate. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing/walking for over four hours per day. - Risk:
Exposure to hazards requiring basic safety precautions.
