Prime Care Orthotics & Prosthetics is seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Front Office Receptionist to join our team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and help ensure that daily front-office operations run smoothly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Check patients in and out and verify demographic and insurance information.
- Collect copayments, balances, and required patient forms.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Monitor the front desk and maintain an organized reception area.
- Scan, upload, and accurately file documents in patient records.
- Communicate with patients, clinical staff, referral sources, and insurance representatives.
- Assist with obtaining prescriptions, referrals, medical records, and other required documentation.
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines.
- Provide general administrative support to the clinic team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or medical-office experience preferred.
- Strong telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
- Excellent organization, communication, and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, email, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional in a busy medical-office environment.
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
