Collections Representative

Our client, a leading organization in the utility services sector, is seeking a Collections Representative to join their team. As a Collections Representative, you will be part of the Customer Service Department supporting the Collections and Customer Support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Las Cruces, NM

Pay Range: $15 to $17

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

What's the Job?

• Assist customers with utility account inquiries, billing questions, and payment processing
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate account records
• Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and establish payment arrangements
• Explain billing procedures, policies, and utility regulations to customers
• Research and resolve customer complaints and account discrepancies

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in customer service, collections, billing, or call centers preferred
• Cash-handling experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
