Field Officer

DWI Treatment Court Program
Seeking Part-Time Field Officer (20 hours a week)
Temporary position, contingent upon funding
$25,000 per year

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Four years or more experience in law enforcement, social services, probation, as a corrections officer, or work in a related field (Additional post-secondary education in a related field may substitute for experience at 30 semester hours equals one year of experience.)
English and Spanish fluency preferable
MS Access experience preferable
Pass a criminal background investigation
Must be a minimum of 21 years old

Essential Job Functions:

Perform both scheduled and spontaneous site visits to participant’s home, school, work or other locations to monitor program compliance
Administer and track breath or urine drug tests when necessary, in office and in the field
Supervise participants in work details, physical training or special projects as part of community- service requirements when needed
Document all interactions with program participants in case management system
Prepare precise, written reports detailing participant program compliance within 24 hours of contact
Attend all court proceedings, meetings and provide input and updates
Maintain equipment and drug testing supplies
Attend yearly trainings when necessary
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality, privacy, and security

Employees may be exposed to fluctuating outdoor and building temperatures, hostile or violent situations that may arise when dealing with individuals involved in court cases, distributing and handling of hazardous court exhibits, and contagious health conditions.
