Job Summary:Responsible primarily for performing preventive and dental prophylaxis services and for providing patient educational services (adult and child) regarding prevention of dental diseases. Also serves in a leadership capacity for dental office.
Core Competencies:- High level of skill in cleaning and caring for dentition and periodontium
- Working knowledge of most current methods and practices in prevention of dental disease and prophylaxis
- Proficient in non surgical periodontal therapy & maintenance
- Strong ability to be Gongenial and respectful with patients
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle patient complaints with tact and diplomacy
- High degree of organization and critical thinking skills
- Strong sense of self-initiative and adaptability
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited ADA program.
