Overview

Sierra Lobo offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and NASA.

This position will be located at NASA’s White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, NM, in the Technical Services Department. This is a modified full‑time position (30+ hours per week).

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to project testing with high‑speed imagery and/or industrial videography, including use of 4K, GoPro, and other video cameras. Must have strong knowledge of camera equipment, including audio/visual cabling, lighting, and sound.
  • Process and edit high‑resolution imagery and provide video and still imagery upon completion of testing.
  • Design and create IT‑based multimedia products for various platforms that combine text with sounds, photos, graphics, video‑clips, virtual reality, and digital animation.
  • Research and understand project requirements, conceptualize plans, identify industry trends, and keep current with the latest multimedia technologies. Develop strategies to optimize operations.
  • Communicate with all levels of the team, provide effective reviews, recommend improvements, and prepare samples for customer approval. Prepare and conduct briefings or presentations as required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues as needed, documenting subsequent revisions to procedures.
  • Manage video archives and keep management informed on project status and concerns.
  • Provide management with innovative ideas to continually improve products while reducing cost.
  • Receive general direction regarding objectives, priorities, and technical approach; work independently and lead projects.
  • Adhere to project timelines and budgets, including the company’s policies and regulations.
Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline plus 5 to 10 years of progressive and relevant experience.
  • Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
  • Strong storytelling ability through visual means.
  • Proficiency with various multimedia software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge and use of Corel Draw and Painter is a plus.
  • Understanding of digital media standards, file formats, compression techniques, and optimization for different platforms and devices. Ensure multimedia is accessible to all users.
  • Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting, and sound.
