We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Internal Medicine specialist with hematology and oncology expertise to join our esteemed healthcare institution. Your expertise will contribute to a comprehensive patient-centered approach in our state-of-the-art facility, housed alongside radiation oncology services, within a COH-certified cancer center. Engage in a diverse array of clinical responsibilities, from managing new and follow-up patients to participating in cutting-edge clinical trials, all while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training or certification in Hematology and Oncology.
- Proven clinical proficiency in managing cancer and hematology patients.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively consult with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Mosaiq.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Skills:
- Experience with clinical trial management and participation in tumor boards.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary oncology care and support staff coordination.
- Previous experience working in or overseeing chemotherapy infusion suites.
- Knowledge of the latest oncology treatment protocols and advances.
Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-residency experience in hematology and oncology practice.
- Certification or eligibility for certification in hematology/oncology.
- Availability to work full-time, including five days per week, with some weekend call coverage.
- Willingness to participate in a 24-hour weekend call rotation (question support for RN staff, patient inquiries, chemo dosing questions, and occasional ED consults).
- Possession of or eligibility for medical licensure in our jurisdiction.
- Ability to travel occasionally for conferences or professional development.
Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
