General Cardiologist needed

Clinic Hours Monday - Thursday 0800 - 1700. Friday 0800 - 1200
Specific dates not set - this is a long term need with full time coverage needed M-F as soon as the provider can be credentialed.
Full coverage availability required.

Number of patients seen per day in clinic
-15 to 20   will work with provider on the max number
Age of patients -18+

Charting

EMR -Clinic - Athena   Hospital - Cliniview & Med Host    Ingenious Med (charge capture)
Support Staff - CMA = 5 (1 to 2 per provider) ; 2 NP;
Patient Care Coordinators = 2;
Front Desk/Check Out  = 5
Is there Rounding? IF so is it for assigned or unassigned patientsYes - physician has assigned week for hospital coverage
Beds in the Department168 Bed Hospital (23 ICU) -  Clinic has 22 exam rooms
Reading walk-in EKGs & hospital ECHOs

- Our Cardiology Clinical Privileges DOP (Delineation of Privileges) qualification requires:

• Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)

• OR

• American Osteopathic Association (AOA) - accredited fellowship in cardiovascular disease

• AND/OR

• Current certification or active participation in the examination process (with achievement of certification within 7 years) leading to subspecialty certification in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine with special qualifications in cardiology.

* Specific privileges requested require proof of competency; certain volume requirements (i.e.; case logs)

* Cardiothoracic privileges would be a different DOP
