Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Billing Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all billing activities, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining financial records in our fast-paced consulting firm. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a knack for problem-solving. Job Details Responsibilities
  • Create, send, and follow up on invoices collected from various departments within the consulting firm.
  • Review and verify billing data for accuracy, checking for any discrepancies and rectifying them promptly.
  • Maintain and update client records, ensuring all billing information is accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all invoices align with the financial policies and procedures of the company.
  • Prepare and present reports detailing billing activity, payment status, and any outstanding invoices.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies arising from billing or payment processes.
  • Coordinate with the consulting team to ensure all services are correctly billed.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding billing and financial transactions.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a billing clerk or similar role, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve billing discrepancies and issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
  • High level of integrity and reliability, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
