Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position will directly support the VP of Business and Finance with modeling financial implications of new and existing programs, partnerships, and initiatives tied to the College’s Strategic Plan as well as institutional and program accreditation. This position will also support the fiscal planning and budgetary process, allocation, preparation, and monitoring. In addition to support of senior leadership in financial planning and processes, this position will participate in the budgetary process to ensure high standards are met and maintained – to ensure compliance with all University policies and state/federal regulations.
The understanding and knowledge of changing policy and regulations with various governing bodies will support compliance management and ensure all standards are met and maintained. Supervisory responsibility for full-time staff, to support performance management, departmental objectives, and succession planning where needed. Provide data analysis and reporting of institutional financial activity. Provides support and oversight of grants/contracts and foundation accounting. Serves as member of the DACC Cabinet providing leadership and input on institutional needs and priorities.
Represents the college at various functions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible fiscal leadership experience, including at least five (5) years in senior-level management. Master's degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA, CGFM) preferred. Equivalent combination of education and executive-level fiscal experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA, CGFM) preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical EffortEnvironment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
