Tax Director – Private Client

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Tax Director (based on experience) to support a growing RIA platform focused on high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and business owners. This is a client-facing, advisory-heavy role responsible for building and helping lead a new tax services offering from the ground up.

The role will act as the primary tax liaison between clients, internal advisors, and external tax compliance vendors. This professional will review returns, create tax plans, and support overall tax strategy. Strong preference for candidates from a wealth management or private banking environment.

• Lead tax planning and advisory services for HNW individuals, trusts, partnerships, and S corps
• Serve as primary client-facing tax advisor in coordination with wealth advisors
• Review and oversee tax compliance work prepared by third-party/offshore teams
• Manage preparation and filing of Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120‑S
• Identify tax planning opportunities and risks through return review and analysis
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate, timely filing
• Help develop and mentor future tax staff as the team grow

• 8+ years of tax experience in public accounting and/or wealth management/RIA environment
• Strong HNW tax background (individuals, partnerships, S corps, trusts/estates)
• Active CPA required
• Client‑facing advisory experience required
• Wealth advisory or private banking experience strongly preferred
• No timesheets
