- Position performs compliance monitoring, expenditure transactional review, administration of sponsored awards collections and monthly/fiscal year end receivable analysis.
- Ensures letter of credit (LOC) federal agency electronic payment systems for our awards are in balance with Banner budgets.
- Ensures timely and accurate submission of quarterly financial reports.
- Ensures timely submission of the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) Sub award Reporting System of subcontracts.
- Responsible for timely financial sponsored award closeout and property closeouts.
- Administers month end cost share close process.
- Responsible for restricted awards document management/destruction of expired awards per State of New Mexico guidelines.

Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree in accountancy or bachelor's degree with successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of Accounting (ACCT) course work.; - Preferred Experience:
Three (3) years of professional experience directly related to the job duties and responsibilities as outlined.
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
