Basic Eligibility For A Position With The NRO

Where You Will Work

The position is assigned to Business Plans & Operations (BPO) Directorate and is matrixed to the Management Services and Operations (MS&O) Directorate within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The Budget Analyst will be assigned as the ADF-South West Budget Lead to support MS&O and Mission Operations Directorates (MOD); two complex organizations responsible for NRO satellite operations and worldwide facility operations. The officer will lead a team of one government and two contractor employees.

The officer's responsibilities will cover a wide range of multi-disciplinary activities within financial management to include analysis of financial reports, execution of current year budgets, coordination of funding actions, development of inputs to the Intelligence Program Budget Submission (IPBS) and Congressional Budget Justification Book (CBJB), entering and validating program financial data in various tools, and preparation of financial briefings for management.

The officer is integral to support the full range of budget formulation, resource management, and financial oversight activities that support ADF-SW's charter to address a wide range of strategic priorities with a broad suite of capabilities. The incumbent will interact with mid and senior level leaders throughout government and in private industry and will work in close coordination and collaboration with PMs, COTRs and Business Plans and Operations (BPO) staff.

The incumbent will be responsible for oversight of the funds including the efficient, effective and proper financial resource management of multiple highly complex MOD and MS&O programs and acquisitions. The position includes oversight duties of contractor personnel. Some travel to CONUS locations may be required.
