Job DescriptionReporting to the Engineering Manager, the Operational Technology (OT) position’s purpose is to bridge the gap between the Information Technology (IT) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) departments. This role’s primary focus is the management of the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to ensure uptime, use by the O&M team, and enabling the engineering department to trend data to adjust setpoints and prolong equipment life.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the monitoring, programming, installation, repair, replacement, back‑up, and recovery of building controls systems
- Manage the planning, organizing, and guiding controls systems development and support activities including data analysis and database design and administration
- Identify, troubleshoot, analyze and resolve systems and communications problems to include the support in repair/replacement of component level devices (i.e. I/O devices, modems, etc.)
- Assist utility plant and maintenance personnel with the operation and troubleshooting/alarm investigation response as necessary to ensure the integrity of the data center operation is not compromised
- Design and install minor electrical circuits for control and monitoring, as required
- Manipulate various software used for communications and report generation including creating/modifying GUI for effectiveness in executing scope of work
- Generate reports on the operational status of the systems
- Generate daily, monthly, quarterly and semiannual reports for Engineering and Fluor Management per schedule requirements
- Ensure complete and accurate files of the systems are maintained
- Instruct operations and maintenance staff in the controls and operations systems and provide troubleshooting training/illustration(s) as applicable
- Ensure the access, security and integrity of system(s) is maintained; provide supporting documentation and controls
- Identify and recommend technology (i.e. hardware, software, etc.) improvement opportunities
- Comply with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs
- Perform other duties as may be assigned at the discretion of management
Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Attention to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner
Job Requirements
- Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- U.S. Citizen
- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge (i.e., ability to use email, internet, Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel, to effectively conduct company business on the program). Some positions may require an increased level of computer knowledge, depending on the required duties of the position.
