HOK Program Support Specialist
Families & Youth Innovations Plus (FYI+)
Position: Part-Time
Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $18.15 (3 levels based on experience and education)
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Reports To: Program Supervisor
Department: LGBTQ
Job SummaryThe Program Support Specialist provides expert 'youth perspective and voice' in the development, implementation, and evaluation phases across all youth-centered programs, services, initiatives, and projects. This is not a direct service position in that the Program Support Specialist does not provide any direct client services to program participants.
What You'll Do:
- Actively participate in assigned committees, project teams, and related groups by contributing ideas, perspectives, feedback, and lived experience.
- Support the development of youth-centered programs, services, initiatives, and projects by providing expert youth insight, attending assigned meetings, assisting with surveys and data collection, and participating in street and community outreach.
- Assist in implementing youth-centered programs and initiatives by offering youth perspective, supporting data collection, contributing to marketing and program promotion, and completing other assigned tasks.
- Contribute to the evaluation of youth-centered programs by providing feedback, sharing youth voice, and helping develop strategies for continuous quality improvement.
- Guide youth engagement efforts across all youth-centered programs, services, initiatives, and projects by supporting engagement strategies and frameworks.
- Attend and actively participate in assigned training and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in public speaking engagements, presentations, and panel discussions to share youth voice and perspective.
- Assist in creating and capturing social media content for agency and unit events, outreach activities, celebrations, and daily service delivery.
- Participate in mock groups and activities as part of agency training efforts.
- Advocate for youth voice and perspective across all program areas.
- Assist in planning and coordinating assigned projects, activities, and events.
- Provide services in a culturally sensitive, appropriate, and ethical manner.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with program staff, agency team members, and community partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor, Programs Manager, or Programs Director.
- Availability for some evening and weekend shifts is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of recovery related experience
- Minimum of two years of sobriety/ recovery
- Strong ability to understand and share the youth perspective and voice
- Strong computer skills
- Strong people skills related to communication and engaging with others
