Type: Full-Time

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and efficient critical care services. The role will drive clinical excellence, strengthen quality outcomes, build and develop high‑performing teams, and support collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary departments. The ideal candidate is an accomplished ICU nurse leader with strong experience in critical care operations, quality initiatives, and team development—preferably within a for‑profit hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for the ICU, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered critical care delivery.
  • Build, develop, and lead teams focused on quality improvement initiatives, performance metrics, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments to meet ICU goals and standards.
  • Monitor ICU performance, compliance, staffing, workflows, and efficiency; implement improvements to optimize care delivery and outcomes.
  • Support strategic planning and quality initiatives aligned with hospital objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Strengthen communication, engagement, accountability, and staff development within the ICU team.
  • Facilitate collaboration and relationships with providers/physicians to support high-quality critical care services.
  • Ensure initiatives focused on clinical excellence, operational improvement, and patient safety are executed effectively.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • Active (or eligible) New Mexico RN License (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (required)
  • 7+ years of healthcare experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience working in a for-profit hospital environment (strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience building and leading teams focused on quality initiatives
  • Strong clinical leadership, communication, and team development skills
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-To-Haves)
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred:
  • MSN
  • Healthcare Administration
  • MBA
  • Experience facilitating relationships with providers/physicians
